News from Bema High School

Last year, 2019, Sr Gina Delmar retired from her teaching post at Bema High School, where she had been deputy principal. Sr Gina has spent the past 32 years in Bema, originally coming as a lay missionary with the Religious of the Virgin Mary, and then making her novitiate with the Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny.

We appreciate her selfless dedication to the school and the Kamea people. Sr Gina was a logistics expert, using her skills in arranging food supplies for the students and materials for buildings. She excelled in her teaching capacity, and many of her past students have gone on to tertiary education. Sr Gina has returned to the Philippines for medical treatment
